Aperol And Irish Whiskey Combine For A Winning Cocktail Combination

Aperol is a great bottle to have in your home bar because you can make a classic spritz, but also use it in so many other applications.

A while back I was introduced to the Paper Plane cocktail. It’s an equal part cocktail with layered flavor notes that come from the bourbon, amaro, lemon and Aperol all shaken up together. Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, I wanted to create an Irish twist on this cocktail. I decided to add Irish whiskey in place of the bourbon for a festive treat.

Let’s be real, who doesn’t want to take a plane to Ireland through their cocktail — or in real life, for that matter? See the complete recipe below:

3/4 ounce Aperol
