Chai Tea Makes This Classic Cocktail Perfect For The Season

One thing you can do to switch up classic cocktails is to change out the syrups you use. This can allow for a lot of creativity and can also help turn one of your favorite go-to beverages into a festive treat.

For this cocktail, I decided to make a syrup out of some chai tea that I had laying around, since chai is one of those really great seasonal flavors. It turned out to be so good that I had to make a cocktail from it.

And, if you love tea but don’t necessarily love chai, there are so many other options for tea cocktails. You can choose a more classic tea to make a syrup or select one with a holiday or seasonal twist. I also use brewed tea in cocktails to add flavor as well as lengthen cocktails.

So, take a shot at making this seasonal riff on an Old Fashioned — you may never go back to the original again.
