The gold rush cocktail is one of my favorite classic cocktails. I love the combination of bourbon and honey. Also, another bright side: It is only three ingredients, which makes it so easy to make at home.
I decided to add some brighter notes with the addition of honey jasmine syrup. The floral notes definitely take this classic up a notch and is perfect for happy hour.
If you have never tried a gold rush cocktail before I suggest you make it soon, and then try this variation of it, too.
Honey Jasmine Gold Rush
Ingredients
1.5 ounces bourbon
¾ ounce lemon juice
¾ ounce honey jasmine syrup (Monin)
Method
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice
Shake then strain over ice
Garnish with lemon slice
Serves one
