I don’t remember my first margarita, but I definitely remember this one. A strawberry margarita is the best and I love mixing up this Sunshine In Strawberry Fields for almost every occasion. The combination of the effects from the egg white as well as adding the salt directly into the cocktail makes this one of the smoothest, and richest margaritas I have ever tasted. Try for yourself!
Sunshine in Strawberry Fields
Recipe:
2 ounces Reposado Tequila
1 ounce lime juice
¾ ounce strawberry syrup
1 pinch Himalayan fine grain salt
1 egg white
Method:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
Shake hard for approximately 30 seconds to chill and combine ingredients
Strain out ice
Shake again for approximately 30 seconds to further emulsify ingredients
Double strain into a coupe glass
Garnish with a lime wheel
Serves one
