As wildfires spread across the Pacific Northwest, Finex Cast Iron watched as their own employees, friends and family members had to leave their homes. Now, the Portland, OR-based company is rolling out a newly-designed skillet to help with wildfire relief.
The company has created 500 limited-run 10-inch cast iron skillets that will be adorned with an updated design that reflects the wild and scenic places of the Pacific Northwest. The pan costs $175, however, $100 of that will go to the American Red Cross Western Wildfire Relief fund.
The skillets will ship on a first come, first serve basis and will begin being mailed around Thanksgiving.
With both form and function, the 10-inch skillet has eight rounded corners serve as pour spouts that seal up tight or serve as evenly spaced steam vents with the brand’s matching lid. It has flat sides to help lift food out of the pan and the surfaces is smooth to the touch.
A beautifully designed wound spring handle made of hand polished, high-luster stainless steel rounds out the look.
