With an already expansive selection of hard ciders in its No. 139 line, Long Island, NY-based Wölffer Estate has debuted a new botanical infused sipper.
The new cider, dubbed Botanical Cider, has a herbaceous and fruitful mouthfeel, created by infusing its classic cider with flavors such as ginger, lemon balm, elderberry, pomegranate, dandelion root, and turmeric. The herbal extracts are curated and blended by Mab & Stoke.
According to Wölffer Estate, there is “a wonderful playfulness between the elegant pure fermented apple notes, the fresh herb bitterness, and the crisp acidity.” Effervescence and a long finish complete the sip on this new release.
The cider is designed to be chilled over ice and garnished with a wedge of orange or fresh fruit. It can be used as an aperitif as well as an accompaniment to small plates.
Also in the No. 139 Cider line include the winery’s dry white cider; dry rosé cider; red cider; LoRo cider; and a limited-release Grüner cider.
