If one positive thing came out of the pandemic, we could say that learning to craft our favorite cocktails at home was it. (OK, maybe it was bread making but that’s splitting hairs, honestly.)
While the world has seen a return to normalcy, it seems that at-home bartending is a trend that’s staying put, says James Hines, owner of Cookshop Plus West Hartford, located in CT.
“The weather is warming, people still aren’t able, or fully comfortable going to their favorite bar, so they are mixing things up at home and stocking their own bars to become mixologists,” he explains.
Hines says that mixers, accessories and bar tools have all been flying off the shelves lately, and he’s been stocking them almost non-stop to keep up with demand.
