You’ve Got A Friend In This Rye Twist On A Negroni

This cocktail was created by Natalie Migliarini, owner of Beautiful Booze. Follow her on Instagram or order her book on Amazon.

If you like a classic Negroni, do not sleep on the Old Pal. This drink is a twist on the classic and substitutes rye whiskey for the gin. Every Fall, I start batching these up for sipping on long cool nights. As a whiskey lover, I love the spicy notes that the rye whiskey brings to the Campari and dry vermouth.

To optimize the effort of stirring these up multiple times through the night I have included ¾ ounces of cold water to the recipe to equate for the cocktail being stirred for dilution. This way you can just pour the cocktail over ice and enjoy without the hassle.

You can apply this method to any cocktail that is stirred and start batching them up because you shouldn’t have to bartend all night, even if the cocktails are just for yourself.
