DIY cocktail bars are a great way to allow guests to experiment and get involved in the cocktail creation process. Offering direction, by putting out the necessary ingredients, creates a bit of fun for guests to serve themselves, and mix things up. It also adds an element of excitement to the party, and offers an easy icebreaker, by having guests discuss the combinations they chose.
A Mimosa bar is a great idea for all occasions, particularly brunch or lunch events, but it also works for a fun dinner party. We offered the classic orange juice and bubbles option but also got creative, offering additional juices and garnishes to kick it up a notch. The best part about this bar is that everything can be prepared ahead of time, then set up right before your guests arrive. It’s so simple, and with minimal effort, you’ll look like a rock star.
We didn’t want to take it too far, though you are welcome to. We offered four juices for the base, including orange, pineapple, pomegranate, and grapefruit. You also want to offer edible garnishes, they not only make the drink look amazing, but they can also enhance the flavor of the drink. For this mimosa bar, we’ve offered sliced oranges, raspberries, blackberries, and edible flowers. But you can use anything you wish, and seasonal fruit is always a great option.
We have these amazing champagne flutes with different designs on them, though we usually like to mix and match glasses at parties. It adds a nice design element to the set-up and means you can just use whatever glasses you have at home and call it a day.
There are a lot of creative options with the Mimosa bar; add your personal touch, and bring out your creative side.
