It’s always fun to get together with friends and sip margaritas especially when you introduce a new twist.
I have been finding myself putting variations on cocktails that include my favorite things, and this version is no different. For this effervescent spin on a margarita, I take the standard recipe, switch out the lime juice for lemon then add ginger syrup.
It doesn’t stop there — I am taking it up a notch by topping this with Prosecco! This is the perfect margarita variation for happy hour, brunch or just because you want tequila and Prosecco at the same time.
Bubbly Ginger Margarita
- 1.5 ounces Tequila Blanco
- ¾ ounce Lemon juice
- ½ ounce of Ginger syrup
- Top with Prosecco (approx. 3 ounces)
Combine all ingredients, except the Prosecco, in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake to chill and combine the ingredients.
Double strain into a coupe glass.
Top with Prosecco.
Garnish and enjoy.
