Wine Can Chicken
Ingredients
1 can white wine of your choice
2 cloves garlic
a few sprigs fresh thyme
4 tablespoons butter, softened
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
one 4- to 5–pound whole chicken
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350-degrees
- Open wine can, insert garlic and thyme into can
- In a bowl, mix butter with mustard to creamy consistency
- Apply butter/mustard mixture generously to the skin of the chicken, covering top and bottom
- With the chicken standing up, insert the wine can into the cavity of the chicken
- On the lowest oven rack, bake chicken for 1 hour and 10 minutes
