I love margaritas of all kinds and have recently been experimenting with different flavor profiles.
This week, I decided to add some Aperol and sweeten it up using pineapple syrup. The slight bitterness of Aperol and the tropical notes of the pineapple really lend to not only a splash of color but also an intense splash of flavor.
To add some serious style, I rimmed the glass with black salt and added a dried lime wheel to jazz up the garnish.

Splash of Color
1.5 ounces of Tequila
1 ounce of Lime Juice
1 ounce of Aperol
¾ ounce of Pineapple Syrup
Rim glass with salt
Add all ingredients to shaker
Shake then strain into coupe glass
Garnish with dried lime wheel
