One of my favorite cocktails is the Negroni and I really love switching out the base spirit. This time around I have switched out the gin for an aged rum. A rum Negroni combines the deep flavors of an aged rum with the bitterness of Campari and sweetness of the vermouth.
This cocktail is so delicious it has been a regular on cocktail rotation this summer. I decided I wanted to take it even further so I experimented with the bottle of crème de banana on my bar and decided to add it to my rum Negroni recipe in place of the sweet vermouth.
This was a great combination and variation to take your Negroni next level.
