From whipped coffee to baked feta, odds are you’ve probably heard of — and maybe even tried — a viral recipe or two. With summer in full swing, we decided to try a fun and refreshing trend for ourselves.
TikTok’s whipped lemonade has become a viral sensation. And, as with all TikTok recipes, there are countless variations of this summer drink making the rounds. We tried three different versions to see which recipe was most worthy of serving at your next poolside gathering. We kept things simple by opting for pre-made lemonade and skipping the alcohol. But try adding a shot of your favorite vodka, tequila, or rum to your blender to take this summer drink up a notch!
Of all the variations, this one is the simplest. It requires minimal ingredients, tools, and it took less than a minute to whip together. It’s also super refreshing, kid friendly, and pretty much guilt-free.
1 cup ice
Directions: Add ice and lemonade to your blender and mix until it’s frothy. Pour into a glass and garnish with a slice of lemon.
This variation was just as easy and actually whipping the coconut milk made us feel like we were drinking whipped lemonade as opposed to a lemonade slushy. Not to mention that the extra flavor from the coconut milk just tasted like summer in a glass!
1 cup coconut milk
Directions: Pour lemonade into a glass and set aside. Pour coconut milk into another bowl or glass, and use a milk frother to whip it into a foam. Pour the foam on top of your lemonade, and garnish with some fresh fruit.
We found this recipe to be the most creamy and flavorful. But because it’s made using heavy whipping cream, it felt more like a dessert than something we would sip by the pool.
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 splash of raspberry syrup
Directions: Pour lemonade into a glass and set aside. Pour heavy whipping cream into another bowl or glass along with a splash of flavored syrup. Use your milk frother to whip it into a foam. Pour the foam on top of your lemonade, and garnish with some fresh fruit.
Note: If you don’t have a milk frother, you can mix everything together in your blender. It will still come out foamy, frothy, and delicious. You just won’t get that Insta worthy foam topping.
